2014 Conference

UTD-facilities-program-coveWelcome to the 2014 Association of Texas College and University Facilities (TCUF) Professionals’ Conference and Expo in Dallas, Texas! This fourth biennial conference for TCUF is being hosted by The University of Texas at Dallas in cooperation with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

Our theme this year is “Managing Metamorphosis, Building for Change.” As facilities professionals, we know first-hand that we live in an ever-changing world. While some people might be frustrated by change and reluctant to embrace it, those of us who constantly work with new projects enjoy seeing things “morph” into a better landscape and take satisfaction in making awesome contributions to the lives of those around us. Our goal is that the TCUF Conference will meet both your professional and educational needs by providing AIA/CES learning opportunities as well as social networking times with industry experts and your colleagues from across the state.

TCUF’s Board of Directors and Planning Committee has worked diligently to organize an exceptional conference with 36 sessions presented by your peers and over 60 sponsors who represent the best the industry has to offer in new products, technology and services.

You also will have the opportunity to visit with our keynote speaker, Bryan Dodge, a well-known and entertaining motivational speaker. Through his continuing relationships with top CEOs and other nationally-known trainers, Bryan has accumulated a wealth of knowledge that he readily shares through speeches, workshops, products and radio programs. He has inspired audiences within thousands of major corporations, professional associations and other organizations. Bryan’s energetic approach and delivery will help you gain a renewed excitement as well as some valuable information to use personally and within your workplace.

I want to especially thank the planning committee members for their relentless dedication to successfully shaping this year’s conference. Planning and executing a conference of this magnitude takes teamwork and countless hours of preparation over many months- and this team has done exactly that. Please join me in expressing our gratitude to the planning committee members as you meet them throughout the conference.

We are mindful that in tough economic times we need to become even more prudent and focused on metamorphic designs within our institutions, professions and industry. By creating a safe environment that also allows futuristic visions to reshape our world, we can effect positive change in higher education. Come join us as we discover better ways to maximize efficiency, develop solid leadership and adapt to challenging fiscal situations. See you at the conference!

Sincerely,
Rick Dempsey
