Mark Cervenka
Mark Cervenka began working for the Texas A&M Health Science Center (HSC) responsible for the HSC construction projects and facilities maintenance in December 2006. Prior to working for the Health Science Center, Mark worked for the Texas A&M University System Facilities Planning and Construction office. His responsibilities there involved the contract administration and budget management of a $750m. construction management program. He received his Finance and Accounting degrees from Texas A&M University. In 2023, Mark transitioned to working for Texas A&M University’s construction management office (Office of the University Architect). Mark’s current duties involve managing minor and major construction projects for all Texas A&M Health Science Center facilities and campuses. The HSC has campus locations across Texas in Dallas, Round Rock, Bryan, College Station, Houston, Corpus Christi, Kingsville and McAllen. Recent accomplishments include monitoring the design, construction and bringing into operation two new academic campuses in Round Rock and Bryan as well as the installation of a new integrated, web-based Facilities Management System at all HSC campuses. These two new campuses were greenfield campuses and represent the beginning of campus master plan developments. Mark is also working on the expansion of the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen which includes a campus master plan and construction and programming two additional buildings.
