Chris Carter
UT AustinChris Carter has worked in higher education for 25 years and has been at the UT Libraries for the last 20 years. Over the last decade, UT has invested in building a remote storage and research facility for its library collections while also renovating main campus library space to meet current user needs. Our mission is to preserve our library collections for the long term while also providing quick and convenient access to our users. Our library renovations have generally been focused on transforming library spaces into modern learning spaces that meet the needs of today’s students and faculty, while also retaining the historic character of our older libraries. Chris brings an IT background to facilities projects and has worked to integrate technology into library spaces and to create a wide range of learning environments to support modern student needs.
