Michael King, AIA, LEED AP, is the Design Director at Energy Architecture. He has more than four decades of experience designing facilities in research and development, laboratory, and higher education sectors. Michael has built long-standing relationships with clients who trust him to deliver high-performing designs that reflect practical and innovative solutions to the ever-changing landscape of new technologies and current thinking. His ability to integrate the aesthetic and functional aspects of design gives projects a human dimension, bringing delight and joy to workspaces and teaching facilities that reflect the client’s values and aspirations. He focuses on early analysis of the program, budget, and needs to align the design with the client’s expectations, while also identifying the intangibles that ultimately make a project special.
