Peter Maass

Peter Maass has over 35 years of construction industry and facility management experience; starting as an architect in private practice, followed by project management and owner representation for a real estate development company and later for a Big Ten university. For the last 10+ years, Peter has worked for the State of Texas with direct executive oversight of planning, design, construction, and operations and maintenance activities for the state’s owned and leased facilities portfolio. Currently, he is responsible for the administration of higher education capital projects, valued at nearly a billion dollars, for the third largest university system in Texas, Texas State University System, and its 7 component institutions. His work and life experiences continue to teach him the importance of leadership, teamwork, and clear communication, while managing the constant challenges of balancing needs, desires, expectations, and budgets, to achieve successful conclusions. He brings a demonstrated history of getting things done with quality, integrity, timeliness, dedication, and ideally a little fun.
