Martha Ball is a Principal and Higher Education Sector Leader at HED, where she leads the planning and design of complex academic environments with a focus on student housing, campus life, and research facilities. Based in Los Angeles, California, she brings more than 30 years of experience delivering integrated, student-centered solutions for colleges and universities nationwide.

Martha has led multidisciplinary teams on projects that enhance the student experience through thoughtful, high-performing residential and campus environments. Her work emphasizes wellness, community, and the connection between where students live and how they learn. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, she is widely recognized for translating complex institutional goals into innovative, human-centered design.

She holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from the University of Southern California.
