Todd Hardin

Todd Hardin serves as Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Planning & Construction within the Texas Tech University System, encompassing five universities and multiple campuses.

He brings a unique skill set with his knowledge of healthcare, research, and academic facilities and the institutional dynamics facing universities today. He places particular emphasis on developing strong relationships with stakeholders and service providers, believing successful outcomes result from exceptional communication, coordination and commitment.

Todd’s experience includes 14 years in the private sector, serving as a Project Director and Associate, working on healthcare and higher education projects. Prior to that time, he served 18 years between the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and the Texas Tech University System as a Senior Project Manager managing numerous healthcare and educational projects.

Todd has successfully led over $2.3 billion of higher education facilities projects in his 30 years at Texas Tech. He and his team focus on guiding the design of multi-million-dollar projects to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs and the institutions’ strategic initiatives. His team is also tasked with ensuring the highest quality of construction is achieved for all projects.

Todd has a professional degree in architecture from Texas Tech University, is an active member of AIA and TSA and has served on the Board of Directors for local charities.
