Carrie West is an innovative, results-driven leader in higher education with over 20 years of experience managing complex capital projects and institutional programs. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice President of Planning, Design, and Construction at The University of Texas at Austin, she specializes in aligning built environments with institutional strategy to advance mission-driven goals. Prior to her leadership role at UT Austin, Carrie held significant positions at Northwestern University, where she contributed to transformative projects such as the Ryan Field redevelopment and the Cohen Lawn project—Northwestern’s first mass timber building. Her career is characterized by a deep commitment to sustainability, heritage preservation, and enhancing the student experience through thoughtful design.
