Florence Tang

Florence Tang, AAIA, NOMA, LEED GA, is a Senior Project Manager for Facilities, Planning and Capital Construction at Rice University and the liaison to the Office of Sustainability and Housing, Dining & Hospitality. She has orchestrated and is a core leader of ground-up architecture, zoo exhibits, design-build construction, sustainability and renovation projects that have garnered LEED Gold and awards such as AIA Houston’s Citation of Honor, Association of Zoos and Aquariums Exhibit Design Top Honors, as well as press coverage from The New York Times, Arch Daily, Texas Monthly and World Association of Zoos and Aquariums News. At Rice, she is leading the efforts for the newest LEED Gold complex: Lovett College, Chao College and South Main Servery. Her experience includes contributions to the Houston Zoo’s Centennial Master Plan and Sustainability Master Plan with various projects: South America’s Pantanal, Jack’s Café and Reflections Event Hall, Reflection Pool Historic Colonnade, and Birds of the World.
